Ice Man is cool under pressure as he wins first ever Casino 10-Ball Freeze-Out Championship
PoolCube International held its inaugural “Casino Billiards Freeze-Out” tournament at the Super Billiards Expo 2012. The 8-player single elimination tournament was won by Player of the Decade Mika Immenon in a hard fought battle with Matt Krah. The winner take all prize of $5,000 was happily paid out by Terry Hess, President and Founder of PoolCube International.
The Casino 10-Ball Freeze-Out format used in the finals was cheered by everyone who witnessed the tournament as the most unique and interesting billiards format to come along in a long while. The game is played with 100 poker chips and 3 PoolCubes representing a small blind, a big blind and the big dog PoolCube. Players were going “all in” throughout the tournament
“We will be back at the Expo next year for sure”, said Hess, “and in a much bigger way, and we could not be more pleased than to have Mika as our first Champion”.
